The Real Housewives of Neukölln are Berlin’s absurdist trash drag collective. Founded in Summer 2016, the Housewives got their start with a weekly cabaret-style show which has earned them an underground cult following and international reputation. Focusing on Berlin’s underground queer culture, the Housewives are renowned for producing fun, creative, original and inclusive performance spaces – ranging from gender politics to Berlin’s clubbing culture.
Originally from the United States, Jake has been working extensively as a professional performance artist and music journalist both in New York and Berlin. Outside of this, Jake has a background in improvisation and children’s theatre,in addition to eight years of vocal training, which she employed for her debut in fellow drag artist Cher Nobyl’s production of ‘The Maids’ by Jean Genet.
Fabio M Silva
Born in Portugal, Fábio M Silva completed a BA in Biology in Évora followed by a BA in Fashion Design in Lisbon and Belgium. A fashion designer whose work focusses on genderless fashion as an expression of identity, Silva is also a prolific multidisciplinary artist employing live performance, music and video. In Berlin he performed solo pieces at Kulturschöpfer, Flutgraben e.V. and Alte Münze.
Originally from the UK, James trained as a professional classical ballet and contemporary dancer at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance, UK, and New York’s Broadway Dance Center. James has worked extensively as a dancer and choreographer, performing and touring with companies such as Dance Theatre Reform, Virtual Motion and The Russian Ballet.
Born and educated in Stockholm, Sweden, Jana completed her professional training in music education and song at the Victor Rybergs Gymnasium before completing her dance training at Stockholm’s Ballet Academy and the Saga Teatern School of Theater. Jana is a critically acclaimed artist, songwriter, and performance artist as part of her solo music career. As a visual artist she has had exhibited work at Berlin’s Zukulima Art Gallery and O.T projektraum, Berlin.

Marquis de Shade
Originally from the United States, Eliot holds an MA in Aesthetics and Politics from the California Institute of the Arts and a BA in Visual Pragmatics from Pitzer College. Eliot has exhibited work at Carriage Trade, Lobot Gallery, and HÄXÄN Festival and has written extensively on contemporary art including publications for WHATIFTHEWORLD Gallery, VOLTA NY, and the Luis De Jesus Gallery.
Born and raised in California, Alex has a BA in German as well as Theater and Performance Studies from UC Berkeley. He was a founding member of BareTroupe, Berkeley’s only student group dedicated exclusively to musical theater performance. Before moving to Berlin, Alex appeared in productions with Theatre Rhinoceros and the San Francisco Fringe Festival. He made his drag debut in 2016 in Jean Genet’s “The Maids.” Since joining The Housewives, he has gained a reputation for delighting, shocking, and disgusting audiences in Berlin with his talents as a lyricist and vocalist. And like most everyone else in Berlin, he DJs as well.

Raised in the forests of Pennsylvania, Dan has a BA in English, a BA in Comparative Literature, and a MLIS (Master of Library and Information Sciences). His goth drag alter ego has risen from the grave in many forms since 2004. He had a DJ residency at Indigo nightclub in Pennsylvania, toured the northeastern US as Dr. Frank-n-Furter in Rocky Horror, and now DJs and performs across Berlin. He throws Heaven’s Gayte at Loophole.
